Electronic signing of SER certificates
The Scottish government's Building Standards Division has written to all Local Authority Building Standards Managers to inform them that SER has introduced the facility for electronic signing of certificates. The letter clarifies that SER certificates may be received with either electronic or wet (physical) signatures.
Unsigned certificates submitted with confirmatory signature forms
Please note also that the special measures to enable the acceptance of unsigned certificates with confirmatory signature forms have now been withdrawn by the Scottish government. Unsigned certificates with confirmatory signature forms will continue to be accepted until 31 July 2022 to allow for delays from their production to submission as part of a building warrant.
