Part-time Certification Consultants needed!
Structural Engineers Registration Ltd (SER) is looking to recruit part-time Certification Consultants to the Scottish Registration Board and Audit Pool. Committing about 25hrs per month, these part-time freelance roles allow you to make an impact in a manageable way.
What is Structural Engineers Registration Ltd. (SER)
SER is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Institution of Structural Engineers, formed with the support of The Institution of Civil Engineers, to manage registration schemes for the certification of design of building structures. These schemes exist in Scotland and Jersey and are monitored by The Scottish Registration Board (SRB) and the Jersey Registration Board (JRB). These Boards exist to ensure safety standards, set by the relevant legislative bodies, are followed in the planning and design of all new constructions.
SRB and the Audit Pool
SRB members oversee the SER certification schemes. This involves assessing applications from individuals and firms for scheme membership and leading audits of the certification practice of members, recommending outcomes and presenting these back to the SRB. About the roles
This is a part-time freelance role, typically of 25 hours per month. Remuneration is at the agreed hourly/day rates, invoiced monthly in arrears for hours worked.
No prior experience of auditing is required and training in all aspects of the role will be provided. We ask that you have experience of the Scottish Building Regulations/Building Control system, experience of the SER certification scheme and are a Chartered professional with excellent inter-personal skills.
