SER workshops consist of a combination of presentations from experienced members of the Scottish Registration Board and practical exercises. They are designed to improve attendees knowledge of the SER Scheme and certification processes.
Following the very successful return to in-person workshops last Autumn, we will be holding further events in-person this year, as well as online events for those who find that format easier to access.
The charge for attending the workshop is £150+VAT.
Dates for the first half of 2023 are:
In-person workshop:
In-person workshops begin at 09.30 with tea and coffee available from 09.00 and usually finish around 16:30.
Online workshops:
Online workshops begin at 9:45 for a 10:00 start and usually finish around 16:00.
Topics to be covered during the workshops include:
- The legislative background to the SER Scheme
- Certification planning and scoping
- Staged warrants
- Producing a certificate
- Amendments to warrant
- Form Q (including interim and multi-plot versions)
- Certification performance standards and audit procedures
- Meeting the Scheme requirements.
To ensure attendees are able to receive as much individual practical guidance as possible, attendees are limited to a maximum of 12 for in-person workshops and 16 for online workshops.
Workshops are open to members of the SER Scheme as well as non-members such as clients, contractors and prospective Approved Certifiers and Bodies. Please therefore circulate these details to any colleagues who may be interested in attending our very informative workshops
