This tutorial is designed to explain the most common processes Certifiers will use relating to projects which contain at least one certificate generated using the pre-October 2016 SER system. Such certificates will be referred to as ‘legacy’ certificates. It includes:

  • How to create a new certificate from a legacy certificate
  • How to amend the Stage information when creating a new certificate from a legacy certificate
  • Information regarding the use of Schedule 1 relating to legacy certificates which included items no longer allowed in Schedule 1 for that Risk group, as well as items entered under the ‘Other’ option.
  • How to deal with Schedule 1 items which were on the legacy certificate but are not available for reselection in the new system when generating the Form Q.
